Subspecies of cannabis plant, characterized by short stems and broad leaves. Indica strains typically produce a “body high” better known as “couch lock effect”. Indica strains are known to contain higher amounts of CBD and lower amounts of THC when compared to their sativa counterparts hence why they are associated with a more relaxing feeling and often used during evening hours. Examples of Indica strains include Hindu Kush, Afghan Kush, and Granddaddy Purple.
